'Apple Honey'. A culmination of recent experiments into resampled music and syncopated rhythms. It truly brings a distinctive sound to Kurtis' discography, with an equally fun music video to go along.

At our best, we humans are everyday improvisers, flowing and imperfect. We do not possess the computational power to explore every potential and select the most optimal one in a fraction of a second. It is this tension between human authenticity and optimization through technological integration that Kurtis and fellow musicians aimed to explore in the Synchrony Experiments — a series of improvisations augmented in real time using a variety of effects, electronics, studio techniques, MIDI triggers, and unlikely signal paths to create music that could neither be made by human or technology alone.

The product of most of the work Kurtis created in his personal practice during 2021 and 2022. A record full of fun vocal chops, unique rhythms, and bold drum sounds. 'All I Do Is Work' gained momentum after being featured on Four Tet's popular Spotify playlist and a Apple MacBook advertisement in 2024.

This project focused on repurposing old forgotten files. Kurtis had a few voice memos of piano sessions from a while back that inspired him to see how far they could be cut up and mixed together until they were unrecognizable from the originals. Often, a completed remix was exported and then remixed again. This process forced Kurtis to get creative with how sampling was approached and taught him a lot about manipulating sounds using a computer. For the cover art, a similar approach was taken. There were some old photos taken earlier in the year of ice that were printed and collaged together. Just like the voice memos, they were cut up, copied, and pasted until something new emerged.

The first few weeks after covid hit BC in March of 2020. Kurtis, like many others, isolated himself in his residence for two weeks. Unlike others, he chose to get a little bit obsessed with hyper pop and create this fun little EP under the moniker 'rosi'.
